I am the Managing Director of Burgess Security Systems Limited – (BSSL).
I started in the industry in 1979 and have gained unrivaled experience within this field over the last 40 years.

When I was 19 I turned professional as a musician (Lead Guitar & Vocals) with my band “TAXI” – we toured Germany 6 times playing with the likes of Showaddywaddy – Slade – The Rubettes – Bonnie Tyler – Mud and many more.

We recorded 3 albums at De-Lane Lea Studios in Wembley London but never quite got the break that would catapult us to stardom.

I thought to myself at the time that I’d better hang up my Guitar and get a “Proper Job” so I went back to what I’d learned during my apprenticeship.

On September 1980 I decided to go on my own installing Intruder Alarm Systems and started to build a customer base – I employed my first engineer in 1990.
40 Years down the line we now have a huge customer base with some clients that we have looked after for over 25, 30 and some even 35 years. I place a massive emphasis on continual improvement with integrity at the forefront.

My hobbies / interests are: Playing the Guitar / Songwriting – Playing Tennis – Fishing Football – Snooker & I also Manage two bands – (Never a dull moment)!!!
